Description
Building a team starts with valuing the team. We hire the best of the best to ensure you're working with people you can constantly learn from. You're trusted to get your work done your way while testing the limits of what's possible and what's next. And you'll be part of a culture where everyone feels supported.

We also value sports.

Not just because of the big wins and highlight-worthy plays, but because of the lasting impact sports can have: the lifelong lessons in teamwork and dedication; the influence of inspiring mentors; the priceless opportunities to play at the next level.

Sports can change lives—that's what we value.

Our team helps the world see sports differently through products that make it easier to capture video, analyze data, share highlights and do a lot more.

Ready to join us?

We're looking for a content designer to join our Elite business unit.

You don't need to be an expert in the world of sports, but you are passionate about changing customers' lives by developing products that provide a competitive edge, improve user flows and save our users time.

The Elite business unit builds products for elite teams around the world (eg: NFL, NBA, Premier league, etc).

We power every Recruitment & Match Analysis decision for elite teams through software, content and services via a host of products like Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Volleymetrics, Studio, etc.

You are:

-
Laser-focused on the user. You ground messaging in the user's language and make sure you're giving them the right information at the right time.
-
Well-rounded in UX. You have a clear understanding of good content strategy and UX, and know how to give feedback—on copy _and_ design decisions.
-
A designer. Your medium is just words instead of visuals. You practice design thinking and understand how to balance creativity with business needs.
-
Obsessed with writing. You know when to use an em dash over a semicolon and how "infer" is different from "imply."
-
Detail-oriented. From button copy to tagging schema, you weigh every decision's impact on the overall experience.
-
Self-sufficient. You take the day's tasks and prioritize accordingly, never backing down from tough to-dos, but comfortable asking for help when needed.
-
Not afraid to get your hands dirty. You'll jump in at any stage of the design process to get more context and provide necessary feedback.
-
Inquisitive. You know which questions to ask for a better understanding of the project and how content design can help.
-
Great with communication. Your input is thoughtful and deliberate, always delivered in a timely and concise manner
-
Equipped with a portfolio. You have a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to both think and write clearly and strategically.

You will:

-
Work collaboratively. You'll partner closely with Product Designers or squads to solve user problems in creative, data-driven, innovative ways.
-
Become an expert. You'll work across multiple products and areas, using that cross-team vantage point to ensure coherence across different parts of the product.
-
Deliver quality content. You'll create artifacts (messaging frameworks, content flows, etc.) to effectively and efficiently communicate your thinking to stakeholders.
-
Write clearly. You'll provide copy for all stages of the process, from brainstorming to wireframes to final screens.
-
Contribute broadly. You'll work closely with other content designers and producers across Hudl to ensure consistency of content across all touchpoints, from marketing to sales to support.
-
Shape practices and processes. You'll bring your own expertise to Hudl, displaying content design value through your work and processes that optimize how we work as a team.

We will:

-
Champion work-life harmony. We'll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time above any required statutory leave, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
-
Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you'll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
-
Encourage career growth. We're lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We'll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
-
Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you're at the office or working remotely, we'll provide you the tech you need to do your best work.
-
Support your wellbeing. Depending on location, we offer medical and retirement benefits for employees—but no matter where you're located, we have resources like our Employee Assistance Program and employee resource groups to support your mental health.
