Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner (Lathe) to join a team that provides an extensive and unparalleled range of precision engineering services to the aerospace, defence, and commercial sectors.
As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components.
Duties:
- Operating CNC lathes, including those with live tooling
- Conducting selfinspection of work using various equipment such as Verniers, micrometres, SPG's, and PPG's
- Performing inprocess inspections to maintain complete process control
- Fabricating components based on engineering drawings to meet quality standards
- Accurately documenting manufacturing process information on job cards
- Adhering strictly to preventative machine maintenance schedules
- Maintaining a safe and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Possession of a Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent (apprenticeship accepted)
- Familiarity with Fanuc control systems
- Experience in the aerospace industry (not essential)
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and following instructions outlined in job cards
- Ability to set up and operate various machine tools
- Comfortable with using computers
Hours:
Basic hourly rate of up to £17.57 per hour + enhancements (detailed below)
- 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7.00am 3.30pm (with a 30minute unpaid lunch break) & Friday 7.00am pm
- 35 hours per week (average) Monday to Thursday 7.00am 3.30pm (with a 30minute unpaid lunch break) & Friday 7.00am pm. Monday to Thursday 3.30pm am (with a 30minute unpaid lunch break
