ABOUT THE POST
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a collaboration between
Filisia Ltd and London Metropolitan University. Filisia Interfaces was
established in 2014 and is at the intersection of HealthTech and EdTech,
creating assistive technology systems that reimagine play, therapy and
learning for people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities
(SEND). Customers are located in 30 countries in three continents and
major markets are the UK, US and Japan.

Experiencing nearly 50% year on year growth, it is an exciting time to
join the company.

  • This KTP will contribute to developing an intelligent data analytics
- capability for an assistive technology system (COSMO), supporting
- personalised Education, Health and Care Plans for people with SEND
- needs. Powered by ML/AI, the system will detect and treat performance
- outliers, providing insights on users' cognitive and physical abilities- enabling tailored treatment and reducing time/costs. You will be under

the direction of supervisors from London Metropolitan University and

  • Filisia Ltd, working in collaboration with team members to develop the
- data analytics capability.

You will be interacting with international stakeholders to support the
growth of the business. Not only will you get a voice and contribute to
something novel and ground-breaking, but you will also be actively
setting yourself up for rapid career growth.

This position is offered on a 24-month, fixed-term contract with the
potential to secure a permanent job at the end of the KTP.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of academic experts in their fields from London
Metropolitan University, the role will involve working at Filisia's
premises in Shoreditch, London and in collaboration with the Filisia
team. The main purpose of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) role
is to develop an intelligent data analytics capability for an assistive
technology system.


Key objectives:

  • To build a unique value proposition benefitting from the unparalleled
hardware device capabilities

  • Create new monetisation models for Filisia, including subscription
  • Develop significant business assets and IP
  • Embed an innovative culture and develop the skills of Filisia's R&D
team

  • ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Filisia is a multi-award-winning company entering its scale-up stage
that reimagines play and therapy for early years learners and people
with Special Education Needs and Disabilities. Our clients include
people with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, dementia and
stroke survivors as well as their teachers, therapists and families. Our

first product is Cosmo:
a platform of interactive IoT devices, iPad
elderly care settings. Cosmo helps train cognitive, communication and
motor skills through interactive games and activities. The product is
already in the marketplace and is being used by families, schools, care
homes and therapy centres in 30 countries.


ABOUT YOU

You will have:

  • 1. A BSc or MSc in one of the following or related areas; Information system and enterprise system
  • Data sciences / Data analytics
  • Data mining
  • Software engineering
  • Computer sciences

Skills and abilities in the following:

  • System analysis and business modelling expertise
  • Software design and development expertise
  • Data analytics and modelling
  • 3.

Previous experience in the following is desirable:

  • Project management (preferably in assistive technology)
  • Programming and advanced databases / data mining
  • Information systems and enterprise systems
  • Software methodology.
