Are you able to work 'in the moment' and pick up on the subtle communication clues of people living with Dementia? If so, we would like to hear from you


Lyndon Residential Home, situated in Sandridge Village just outside St Albans, provides residential care for 32 residents, including those living with dementia.

If you have experience of management and caring for older people, this role of Head of Care will allow you to bring together your proven skills.


Reporting to the Care Home Manager, you could be a part of a service that makes a fundamental difference to people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:
As Head of Care you will be expected to act as an ambassador for our service and organisational values.

As Head of Care can you?

  • Help each resident enjoy the highest possible quality of life, surrounded by love, friendship and support within a Christian environment
  • Ensure the Home delivers excellent personcentred care
  • Provide leadership to the Care Team within the home

As Head of Care do you have leadership experience of?

  • Person centred care for older people including those living with dementia
  • Management of the administration of medication
  • End of life care
  • Staff development and learning
  • An appropriate Social Care or Nursing Qualification achieved equivalent to or working towards NVQ 4 / equivalent QCF award.
