Role overview
You will plan, deliver and assess our youth work programmes and qualifications. You should have key relevant youth work practice and tutor/ assessing experience and qualifications, within this context.

You will have the relevant skills, knowledge and experience across the youth and community sector to deliver short courses and up to a level 3 qualification.


Key responsibilities

  • To plan and deliver Youth work programmes including schemes of work, lesson plans and relevant resources for accredited and nonaccredited course/s.
  • To complete all appropriate administrative tasks, including completion of registers, learner agreement forms, risk assessments and records for the teaching and learning file in line with Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA).
  • To assess learners' work as appropriate to the standards of the qualification.
  • Provide individual / group ongoing assessment to support learning in order to ensure achievement and progression.
  • To ensure that individual learner needs are met, and progress is assessed, monitored and recorded and is reflected in lesson planning and tracking documentation.

Key Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:

  • Relevant skills knowledge and experience across the Youth and Community sector and qualified to level 3 or equivalent.
  • Teaching and assessing qualifications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to deliver teaching and learning online and face to face within the Post 19 sector
