The Role
Our lawyers work on the full spectrum of competition matters, including complex litigation cases, investigations by competition authorities, merger control, foreign investment/National Security & Investment Act matters, competition compliance programs, and commercial arrangements.
We regularly work with our international colleagues, including specialist competition lawyers in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Dentons are ranked in Global Competition Review's Global Elite.
Our Associates develop and maintain client relationships, contribute to business development and thought leadership, their own profile, and support the continued growth of the practice.
This role is ideal for a - 3 years PQE Associate who is looking to join an ambitious practice and make a direct contribution to its success and growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
- You will work on a variety of matters across a range of sector.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Contribute to business development.
- Contribute to thought leadership and raise the profile of the firm externally.
Required experience, skills, and attributes
Technical Skills
- Strong academic record, qualified in English law.
- Extensive, indepth knowledge of UK and EU competition law issues gained within private practice, including competition litigation.
- You will ideally have experience working with international clients within a variety of sectors.
- Additional experience gained within a competition authority, regulator, or the FCA would be beneficial.
- You will ideally have experience participating in pitches to clients.
- Ability to work with a degree of independence on multiple client projects.
- Exceptional drafting skills and legal research ability.
- Technologically savvy.
