Description

At Action on Disability we support individuals to employ their own personal assistants (we are not a recruitment agency; we are a support service).

This means that, you will not be employed by Action on Disability, but directly by the individual themselves or by a representative who is acting on their behalf.

Currently we have a client living in Hammersmith and Fulham looking for his support worker:

A young adult who is recovering from stroke is recruiting a personal assistant to support him with:

  • Support with nutrition, such as support with meal planning and cooking with recipes
  • Support with maintaining a habitable home environment, such as cleaning the flat, laundry and ironing.
  • Support to reduce social isolation, such as support with accessing the community, using public transport, attending appointments and other community activities.
  • Support to communicate with others in both spoken and written forms, such as reading letters, answering phone calls.
-
No personal care is required.

Personal Specification:

  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Fluent in spoken English with good communication skills.
Please send us your CV and quote this reference number (FC if you are able to commute to
