At Action on Disability we support individuals to employ their own personal assistants (we are not a recruitment agency; we are a support service).

This means that, you will not be employed by Action on Disability, but directly by the individual themselves or by a representative who is acting on their behalf.

Currently we have a client living in Hammersmith and Fulham looking for his support worker:

A young adult who is recovering from stroke is recruiting a personal assistant to support him with:

Support with nutrition, such as support with meal planning and cooking with recipes
Support with maintaining a habitable home environment, such as cleaning the flat, laundry and ironing.
Support to reduce social isolation, such as support with accessing the community, using public transport, attending appointments and other community activities.
Support to communicate with others in both spoken and written forms, such as reading letters, answering phone calls.

No personal care is required.

Personal Specification:

Punctual and reliable.
Fluent in spoken English with good communication skills.
