The Business Services team is aligned with Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) and provides clients with solutions that drive quantifiable EBITDA / cash improvements in the areas of: performance management; large-scale transformation and restructuring; value creation planning; interim management; pre-deal commercial and operational advice; post-merger integration and carve-out.


Our highly respected pan-EMEA team is built on deep industry sector expertise with a demonstrable ability to deliver material and sustainable improvements.

The team brings unrivalled experience from both in-industry and advisory roles and works together with service-line specialists in related A&M practices as one team for clients.


The Role


Our Business Services sector team delivers to clients across a range of sub-sectors including utilities, infrastructure, nuclear and facilities management.

We are looking for an Associate / Senior Associate to shape and build a first-class professional services team.

This opportunity requires an entrepreneurial mind with a balance of creative, analytical and financial problem-solving skills.

As an Associate / Senior Associate, you will be working closely with world class colleagues in a flat team structure.

You will be positioned and enabled to lead work streams, with constant exposure to executive leadership teams and -1/-2 reports, while leveraging the full breadth of senior experts across industry and functional domains across A&M.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate on a range of practice development efforts.

These range from trends specific to each industry, to business development and asset building in the form of PoVs and pitches.


You will specifically support the delivery of engineering and technology-led business transformation projects within the UK region and EMEA, where identifying transformation levers and managing political complexity will be key to generate significant and sustainable savings within an engineering led environment.


To do this effectively, you will need to:

  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and professionals in the client's business;
  • Be creative to generate break through ideas regarding transformation levers;
  • Be an actionoriented selfstarter with strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial flair;
  • Have a strong exposure to client, be able to deal with top executives and translate improvement ideas into action

The Requirements
We are looking for experts in the UK with the ability to work Europe-wide.

You will have 5-10 years of relevant experience and preferably a blend of industry and consulting experience for either corporate or PE clients.


  • 510 years of experience in a technology and projects environment this should be from product development in automotive, aerospace or nuclear, or construction within utilities sector.
  • Have an understanding and have held a leadership role in the product development lifecycle or significant asset change programme
  • Ability to quickly assimilate a range of requirements and understand how engineering solutions addresses requirements and adds value at a system, asset and component level across a range of industries.
  • Exemplary communication skills, both oral and written, including proven ability to directly develop and deliver clientready written communication materials, including interim updates and final deliverables
  • Excellent factgathering and investigation skills, including quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Ability to identify structural process issues and push through jargon to link cause and effect, and risks against commercial realties
  • A creative, strategic thinker who can think broadly and bring innovative ideas, a new perspective, or a new strategy to the table to challenge the status quos
  • An understanding of change management thinking especially pertaining to disrupting establish approaches is highly desired;
  • Outcomeoriented, data driven, and with a learning mindsets;
