A unique opportunity has arisen within the Urology Department at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board for a Uro - Oncology Health Care Support Worker band 4.

The successful post holder will help co-ordinate and fully support the smooth running of the Uro - oncology Services. This post will be extremely busy, quite diverse and will be very demanding but satisfying.

The post holder will be expected to work alongside and in partnership with a multi disciplinary team and will be central to the smooth running of the Service.


The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the work of the Uro-Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialists and providing a point of contact for patients and professionals.

Triage incoming calls, provide basic telephone advice and refer on or sign-post to other sources of support.

Coordinate the necessary assessments, appointments or investigations.


The post holder will act as a point of contact for the service and will liaise with all members of the multi-disciplinary team on various organisational aspect of patients care.

The post-holder will provide practical support to the smooth running of the Clinics as appropriate.

The post
- holder will be responsible for providing the communication, co-ordination and administrative support necessary in the setting up of a Urology cancer patients support group.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
