Our client, a leading distribution company has an exciting opportunity for a permanent
Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

Reporting to the Accounts Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking a variety of bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Communicating at all stages with colleagues and clients where necessary
  • Processing payments and documents such as invoices, journal vouchers and employee reimbursements
  • Bank and Credit Card reconciliations
  • Monitoring customer accounts, debt management and credit control
  • Processing financial transactions, completing monthly reconciliations
  • Resolving incomplete records
  • Assisting with monthly reporting and year end accounts
  • Other activities carried out by the finance team
  • Accounting or Finance background preferred
  • Working towards an accounting qualification would be preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ideal but not essential
  • Experience of other accounting software such as SAGE ideal but not essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be able to take direction
  • High level of accuracy
  • Friendly and confident telephone manner

Hours:
Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm.
