Overview


Open Banking is a worldwide phenomenon, gathering pace over the recent years and set to transform many aspects of retail financial services (as well as many adjacent industries).

There are a number of markets already live with various forms of open banking offerings (e.g. EEA markets thanks to PSD2, or US owing to long-standing market driven initiatives).

In most other markets, open banking is at earlier stages of development, yet already seeing plenty of attention from established players as well as new entrants.


This new role is pivotal in evolving the Aiia Enterprise Product in Europe which aims to provide richer Open Banking solutions for licensed customers (Third Party Providers - TPPs) in Europe.

The role is central to our single API strategy in Europe which aims to provide customers with simplified payment and data APIs.


Key aspects of the role will be:

  • In depth scoping of new features ahead of Product development planning
  • involving Epic breakdown, User Story refinements.
  • Research and analysis on the product enhancements and launch of new flows centred around
  • Producing relevant analysis artefacts and documentation such as process flows, use cases, report definitions, wire frames etc.
  • Supporting the product owner ensuring customer facing assets (eg documentation, developer sites, contracts) are maintained, improved and updated as new features are developed
Role


You will:

  • Act as Product Specialist for Aiia Enterprise Product
  • Own the analysis tasks, timescales and approach whilst supporting the Product Owner to achieve the delivery outcomes needed
  • Shape potential features and refine in Mastercard tools used by Engineering teams (like AHA, ALM, Jira, Confluence)
  • Ensure all features are adequately tested and fit for purpose, prior to release as product features for customers
  • Support product and pre sales teams in technical discussions, presentations centred around specific features, including contributing to completion of customer documentation (RFPs, RFIs, and sales collateral)
  • Seek opportunities to continuously improve both the product and development process
  • Monitor transactional data, proactively review performance data, log analytics etc, to identify trends and issues which may be help improve product taking into account market gaps, opportunities and weaknesses, future technology / developments, competitor products / services and the changing requirements of legislative and regulatory bodies.
  • Identify incremental operational tweaks that improve the overall customer experience and remove waste from the system
  • Passion to learn and continually improve the method and approach to product ownership within the overall Open Banking team
All About You

Skills and experience required for this role are:

  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills. A desire to learn and a curiosity to understand our payment systems products and processes.
  • Experience in the Payments Industry, ideally Clearing and Settlement systems. Experience with Account to Account Payments is desirable.
  • Proven track record in Business Analysis within a complex change environment.
  • Experience in using structured analysis techniques and able to evaluate and plan approaches on projects
  • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate both written and verbally to internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Confident in requirements elicitation and able to facilitate cross functiona
