Job summary:

The National Archives is the official archive of the UK government and for England and Wales.

We are the guardians of over 1,000 years of iconic documents, one of the largest and most important archival collections in the world.

We provide a broad and varied range of opportunities for different audiences to connect with us and access our collections and services, both online and in person at our building in Kew.

This is a critical role in ensuring that The National Archives gets the most out of its commercial contracts and procurement exercises and is a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience in this area.

Ideally, you will have - or will be working towards - a recognised Procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS) or will have a similar level of demonstrable experience.

In addition, some experience of working within an Estates & Facilities environment, and familiarity with JCT contract terms, would be beneficial.

This is a full-time post and requests for flexible working and job share will be considered, taking into account the operational needs of the department.

A combination of onsite and home working is available and applicants should be able to regularly travel to our Kew site.

We would particularly like to encourage applicants from backgrounds currently underrepresented in archives, including those that identify as Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT+), from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic cultural backgrounds, those who are neurodivergent, and those with hidden or visible disabilities.
