Stock/ Inventory Controller


Working Hours:7:30am-4:40pm Mon-Thurs, 7:30am-4pm Fri Salary


Salary:
£24,000 - £26,000 depending on experience

Role Overview:


As an Inventory Controller, you will play a vital role our stock management process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every aspect of our inventory.

From liaising with various departments to optimizing warehouse space, your role will be central to our smooth operations. The role is an operational based role within a Warehouse.


Duties & Responsibilities:


Role Specific:

Stock Replenishment: Ensure timely replenishment of stock to meet operational needs.

Stock Consolidation: Streamline inventory through efficient consolidation techniques.

Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between system records and physical stock quantities.
-
Query Resolution: Address and resolve stock-related queries to facilitate order fulfillment.

Collaboration: Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Warehouse, Customer Services, and Sales teams to address issues and streamline processes.

Space Optimization: Optimize warehouse space by relocating stock strategically to enhance picking efficiency.

Regular Audits: Conduct regular Physical Inventory (PI) counts to maintain stock accuracy.

System Proficiency: Utilize our in-house stock management system proficiently to execute tasks effectively.


General:

Team Support: Assist other warehouse departments as needed to meet business requirements.

Safety: Adhere to manual handling techniques and maintain a safe working environment.

Reporting: Report any issues promptly to the line manager.

Continuous Improvement: Remain open to further training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Cleanliness: Ensure picking shelves and walkways are consistently tidy and clean.


Person Specification:


Essential:

Documentation Proficiency: Ability to complete required documentation accurately and efficiently.

Flexibility: A flexible approach to work and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Computer Skills: Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in relevant software.

Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Attention to Detail: Great attention to detail to maintain accuracy in inventory management.


Desirable:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a stock control role or similar position.
-
Forklift License: Possession of a Counterbalance Forklift (FLT) license.
-
Software Experience: Experience using Oracle NetSuite or similar inventory management software.
