Company profile - FX Specialist

In this Operations job, you will be joining a hugely successful and established foreign exchange specialist going through a massive growth cycle.

Founded in 2011 and publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2019, they're now expanding into European and Australasian markets.

Based in upmarket Mayfair and recently undertaken an exciting office upgrade (think big) they're consistently ranked in the top 10 of firms globally by Bloomberg for their accuracy in currency forecasting -arguably the most exciting business in the industry.


Key responsibilities - Operations Executive

  • In this Graduate Operations job, your responsibilities will include:_
  • Preparing instructions and monitoring cash transfers for transaction accounts
  • Accurate and timely execution and delivery of client and bank instructions with strict cutoffs
  • Performing daily internal and external reconciliation
  • Investigation and resolution of failed/nonreceipt incoming and outgoing FX payments for transaction accounts and clients
  • Liaise with Banks/Custodians on a day to day basis ensuring all trades/payments are completed and/or settled in a timely manner
  • Resolving queries on a timely basis received from brokers/clients
  • Ensuring all trades are booked and matched in appropriate systems and captured timely and accurately
  • Generating and sending of trade confirmations to counterparties
  • Client reporting, including trade confirmations, statement of holdings, and monthly statement

Job requirements - Operations Executive

  • A minimum of a 2.1 from university (a numerical degree is a plus but not a prerequisite)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Previous work experience in operations/settlements or related is a plus but not a prerequisite.
  • Fantastic attention to detail
  • A demonstrable desire for a longterm career in finance
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • The confidence to work autonomously and as part of a friendly and collaborative team
