Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant with experience in financial, and management accounts looking for a new role to start soon? I am recruiting for a Stevenage based business who are recruiting for an experienced, part qualified or AAT qualified Financial& Management Accounts Assistant to join them in March.

You will be assisting the Financial Accountant and Finance Director in processing transactions up to trial balance.


You will be responsible for;

  • Responsible for accurately processing purchase sales and general ledger transactions in the accounts system daily.
  • Ensuring that bank transactions are processed daily and reconciled on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Responsible for ensuring that invoices are sent out to budget holders and authorised and coded correctly in the ledger. Ensuring that the accounts payable is maintained as per finance procedures
  • Preparation of payment runs on a bimonthly basis. Assisting with cashflow forecasting
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly analysis for departments.
  • Prepare VAT returns and related processes for UK and ROI. Ensuring that import transactions are correctly recorded. Liaising with HMRC on any related matters.
  • Assist accountant with the month end financial and management accounts processes as per monthly finance checklist.
  • Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring reconciling items are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all invoices and paperwork are scanned and organised in a systematic manner.
  • Preparing year end audit information and assisting with yearend audit.
  • Assisting and covering for commercial finance assistant with commercial administration duties.
