We are currently recruiting for a Account Director - Soft FM to join our passionate and driven team based in Glasgow / Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership, inspiration, and control of the business unit.
  • Full budgetary responsibility and associated cost base for all Soft FM, encompassing Cleaning, Waste, Catering and Waste Services to over 400 sites across Scotland, employing over 600 people and supplier partners.
  • Lead by example in culture of safety, opportunity, inclusiveness, and diversity.
  • Ensure that the operational aspects of region are delivered in accordance with the SLA by an agreed program of qualitative checks and control measures to rectify identified deviations where appropriate.
  • Develop maximum profitable growth of the business through understanding client needs, maximizing the services delivered and championing excellent customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, Health Safety and Environment, security and relevant company and client policies generating a true health and safety culture.
  • Ensure that a Continuous Improvement Process is an integral part of service delivery, adding value to both the business and our client.
  • Assist in the establishment of systems of monitoring through QA/KPI reporting and control, designed to ensure appropriate control over all critical service points, to maximize customer satisfaction, and minimize customer complaints and other adverse feedback.
  • Ensure that records are held and updated as required.
  • Manage the people resources effectively and efficiently to deliver the required services.
  • Analysis of budgetary information to assist in annual budgetary and monthly forecasting processes.
  • Authorize payroll issues concerning staff within the portfolio of buildings under post holder's responsibility (i.e. overtime, absence etc.).
  • Set objectives for direct reports via continuous conversations and review frequently. Ensure same approach and mechanisms for all staff within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure all new starters receive induction training in line with Company and Client policies and procedures.
  • Champion of SME engagement, circular economy, and experience in local community support initiatives.
  • Commercially astute, delivering contracts within combination of framework contracts such as NEC
  • Maximise the potential of Atalian Servest, leverage relationships and implement solutions which drive productivity and service enhancements.
  • Ensure that the contract team are provided with the necessary levels of support from the wider Atalian Servest team.
  • Ensure the business operates in compliance with Atalian Servest business processes, procedures, and policies.

About You:


  • Experience in working in a similar role for a Soft FM Services service provider.
  • Extensive experience at Senior Management level running Soft FM services and/or facilities management contracts.
  • Excellent commercial and financial acumen.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively to diverse stakeholder base.
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully working with public sector clients.
  • Balanced strategical think and who will 'roll their sleeves up' as a leader.
  • A decisive individual with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong management skills and ability to form collaborative working relationships and communicate with a large and varied delivery team.
  • Selfmotivated and enthusiastic, with good time management and leadership skills.
  • A creative thinker with a Can Do and Deliver attitude.
