The Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Medical Secretary who will support the Restorative Service, working on a bank as and when contract.
The main purpose of this post will be to provide secretarial office duties such as transcribing medical correspondence, audio typing, undertake mail and filing duties, retrieving patients medical notes, managing patient pathways via WPAS, as well as handling queries from patients, relatives, carers and external partners on a regular day to day basis.
They will need to be able to work using their own initiative while also working well as a team member.
It would be an advantage if the post holder was familiar with the NHS information systems and in particular WPAS (Myrddin).
An understanding of customer care and meeting the needs of the general public is necessary for this position, therefore an excellent telephone and communication manner will need to be demonstrated.
