The Position


The Sports & Youth Programmes Coach will play a vital role in the planning and delivery of Personal Best's youth provision.


The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with Project Managers to develop programme curriculum, activity timetables and session plans
  • To prepare for and lead PE & Sports Coaching, Holiday Camps and Childcare services
  • To prepare for and lead Community and Educational Enrichment Activities
  • To supervise, support and mentor young people during delivery
  • To maintain good communication with education institutes, young people and colleagues
  • Complete vital tasks, as assigned by Project Managers, in detail with key milestones and performance measurements to ensure successful delivery of the desired outcomes, e.g. School provision, community projects and holiday camps
  • To be accountable for the safety and welfare of young people
  • Support other aspects of the Personal Best business when requested by the line manager
  • Complete session paperwork (registers, reporting, risk assessments)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Good knowledge and experience with IT admin systems such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and other

  • Hold a full UK Driving License
