Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our team as a Bank member of staff, working on behalf of some of the best consultants in the country.
Reporting into our Medical Secretary Manager, you will be responsible for diary management, audio typing, administrative and secretarial support to build the link between consultants, patients and the hospital.
As this is a bank contract, it will be picking up shifts during sickness, holiday and busy periods.Role Responsibilities include:
- Working alongside the KIMS Medical Secretary Team, taking responsibility for coordinating patient appointments within various clinics and theatres for various consultants and sending relevant correspondence
- To be the main point of contact for patient queries and efficiently respond as appropriate
- To actively see ways that consultants can develop their practice
- Keeping records up to date and filing/scanning information for patient records
- Working within KIMS in relevant departments to improve the booking and patient process.
Person Specification:
- Good standard of secondary education at least 5 GCSE A-C grades or equivalent including maths and English Language.
- Previous experience working as a Medical Secretary
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to type at a minimum 50 words per minute
- Previous audio typing experience
- Medical Terminology Qualification (desirable)
- Accuracy and attention to detail at all times
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
