We are looking for a Private Ambulance Driver to join our established team.

You will be required to transfer deceased persons from a mortuary in the South Yorkshire/Derbyshire area to our facility in Sheffield (South Yorkshire) at the instruction of Digital Autopsy UK.

You will work closely with our Sheffield team at our head office to ensure a timely and smooth transfer of the deceased between the resting mortuary and our facility.

Responsibilities

To collect and transport deceased from mortuaries and transfer to Digital Autopsy UK facility in Sheffield (South Yorkshire).
Work closely with Digital Autopsy UK's Transport Supervisor to ensure transfers are undertaken to the appropriate location in a timely manner.
Assist Digital Autopsy UK staff and mortuary staff with handling and moving of the deceased.
Conduct oneself with pride and be mindful of ensuring the dignity of the deceased.
Drive Digital Autopsy UK vehicles to the standards required, maintain the cleanliness both externally and internally of the vehicles and refuel in line with operational policies.
Assist with cleaning duties in the CT facility
Carry out maintenance on stretchers
Assist with administration tasks when not driving the private ambulance
Ensure vehicles are driven at the correct speed limits in accordance with the law.
Carry out other levelappropriate tasks as may be required by Digital Autopsy UK
Full Driving Licence
Experience in handling the deceased preferred but not required
Physically fit and smart in appearance
Must be reliable and have good time keeping
You must have a sympathetic and empathetic approach to the work
