The Role


Newman Stewart are partnering with an established technology provider in the Oil & Gas industry with the recruitment of a Principal Electronic Engineer.


Reporting to the General Manager the role will be responsible for providing technical expertise relating to the maintenance of the existing tools as well as supporting new product development.


Due to the nature of the work, a background in and experience of working in the Oil & Gas industry is essential.


Skills and Experience
In order to be considered for this integral role you will

  • Have demonstrable experience of working as an Electronics Engineer with either an Engineering degree or Chartered status.
  • Prior experience of researching and designing new technologies to include specification, testing and evaluating components and designs.
  • Understand and be able to use CAD for schematics and PCB layout
  • Have the ability to use Analogue filters
  • Be proficient in using and specifying sensors as well as the design and use of SMPS
  • Be able to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of AC generators, Motors/Controllers, Control Systems and Algorithms.
