About the role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance this is a senior position within the business and will take responsibility for the Financial Accounting within the company.

This role is an excellent entry point into the business for either a finalist or qualifiedaccountant in their first years post qualification.

Key responsibilities

Full ownership of cash position, including reporting this to FC and Directors
Production of Monthly Management Accounts including commentary
Deputising for the Financial Controller and assisting with the overall running of the finance department
Bank reconciliation for UK and Foreign Currency (FOREX) accounts
Set up and process of electronic transfers
Production of prepayments and accruals
Stakeholder management with different functions including sales team members
Liaise with and take ownership of audit relationship
Accounts reconciliation
Continuous improvement of systems, processes, procedures and spotting opportunities
Fixed asset register

Person profile

Finalist or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent)
Ambitious and career motivated
High personal integrity, motivation and pride in personal performance
Excellent personal presentation, communication and character
Excellent stakeholder management skill
First class reporting ability, including good knowledge of financial systems. Prior use of Sage X3 or equivalent ERP would be an advantage.
