Tool Hire Supervisor

This Tool Hire Supervisor role is working in our
Jewson Branch in
Truro.


What will I be doing in this role?
The Tool Hire Supervisor role is a varied and busy role.

You will be focused on generating profitable business by building relationships with customers both face to face and via the telephone to achieve maximum sales, while ensuring effective and efficient running of Tool Hire in line with Health & Safety guidelines.

This role offers a varied mix of customer / account management and commercial focus.


We can provide you with the product knowledge needed, however we need you to bring with you the right driver, determination and understanding of how to maximise on sales opportunities.


What skills are we looking for?

  • A customerfocused approach and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage customer needs whilst maximising profit
  • A positive attitude and the desire to want to continually improve our service
  • A full driving licence to be able to deliver equipment locally

What will I be doing?
Our Tool Hire Supervisors are essential within the branch network, you will build relationships with Customers and understand their wider requirements in order to maximise sales growth

In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will;

  • Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson Values
  • Supervising a small team to ensure that great relationships are developed with new and existing Customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
  • Use our inhouse systems to process customer orders, organise tool hire delivery and collection, keeping customers updated throughout their journey
  • Collaborate with the wider network to support Customer requirements and business activities
  • Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth
  • You may be occasionally required to carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop
  • Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
  • Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
