Purchase Ledger Clerk

About Our Client:

Our client is a successful business that have seen rapid growth over the past 12 months. They are based in Waterlooville and require travel to their offices.

As the Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be responsible for:

  • Validate invoices against purchase orders or services received
  • Code financial transactions appropriately
  • Posting of purchase ledger invoices and credits to Sage accurately
  • Reconcile supplier statements received
  • Process and prepare supplier payments, staff expenses and post payments to the bank.
  • Reconcile and post credit cards and petty cash
  • File invoices and statements
  • Check all financial transactions for accuracy
  • Support monthend reporting process
  • Accruals, prepayments and Inter company reconciliation
  • Other adhoc tasks which help the finance department or aid the business as a whole

The Successful Applicant:

To be successful for the Purchase Ledger Clerk role, you must:

  • Be studying your AAT qualification
  • Proficient in Microsoft office with intermediate Excel skills
  • SAGE line 50 purchase ledger experience
  • Experience in creditor reconciliations
  • Experience with bookkeeping practices
  • Ability to take own initiative and prioritise own work load
  • Able to multitask and work to tight deadlines
  • Good attention to detail
