Mixed Tax Senior (70% Corporate, 30% Personal)

Burnley - Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days WFH)

Up to £40,000 Dependant on experience
Butler Rose are pleased to be partnering with a Fantastic Accountancy Firm, with numerous offices across the UK.

We are working closely with this firm to look for a mixed Tax Senior to join their brilliant team in the Burnley office.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include looking after a personal tax portfolio and being heavily involved in the corporation tax process for all companies.
Whilst this firm has a competent junior who assists with CT, it means they still have a gap between Junior and Senior manager.
The Senior Manager is now heavily involved in corporation tax compliance meaning she has less time to do advisory work.
Mainly compliance work but will also include some advisory.

ATT / CTA (qual or part qual) if no qualification, this person must have 23 years of corporate tax experience at Senior level.
23 years of CT experience at a Senior level
Must have a highlevel of knowledge of the tax challenges faced by OMB and high net worth individuals.
Must have detailed experience in preparing and reviewing corporation tax and personal tax returns and computations.
Some experience using CCH/Tax software & Excel
Must be someone who is happy to get stuck in and get their head down from the start, hence why they need someone with previous corp tax experience
Must be confident, outgoing and able to work from own initiative
Must be flexible, work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to demonstrate coaching skills to develop junior members of the team and add true value in the department.
Ideally a full time role, but part time role of 3 days per week could be considered for the right person.
