Our Client


IRC is very privileged to be working with an innovative Microsoft partner who is going from strength to strength in terms of client acquisitions which brings a new and exciting opportunity for a 2nd Line support engineer, please note this is a great careeropportunity to move up the ranks and join a firm who has built up an outstanding reputation in the market, where there are significant opportunities for progression and development.


The Role


As a member of the 2nd line support team, you will provide an escalation point to support first line engineers, diagnose issues and situations with a high level of awareness and provide the most appropriate solution.

As a 2nd Line Support Engineer you willalso assist in the deployment of new clients and upgrade projects for existing clients whilst helping develop more junior members of the team.

There are number of financial incentives in place linked to certifications, training, career development etc. and therefore we are looking for someone who enjoys learning news skills and is keen to develop their career.


Main Duties:


  • Inbound support request diagnosis and resolution: IT all issues affecting workstations, servers, networks, data storage etc.
Connectivity - network and router optimisation

  • Telephony soft PBX administration
  • Mobile mobile device management administration
  • Specialist diagnosis and resolution of escalated and complex issues
  • Fix hardware faults and install upgrades to client hardware
  • Prepare servers for deployment and manage data migrations
  • Identify trends adversely affecting service quality and mitigate as appropriate

Qualifications:


  • IT Support minimum 3 years' experience essential
  • Teamplayer with a professional, friendly, cando attitude essential
