The Role
As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking to recruit a Marketing and Communications Officer to help us promote Inzpires ever-growing range of products and services to an array of audiences.
- Assisting in the delivery of the external marketing communications strategy and the internal communications strategy.
- Writing engaging copy for marketing and communications materials for internal and external marketing assets including booklets, flyers, brochures, banners, newsletters, press releases, presentations, and digital media.
- Collaborating with the companys creative/graphic designer to bring the copy to life in a visually pleasing design.
- Collaborating with the companys creative/graphic designer to create bimonthly wholecompany newsletters for an internal audience.
- Collaborating with the companys creative/graphic designer to create engaging PowerPoint presentations for the managing directors wholecompany roadshow.
- Researching and writing digital content including blogs and social media posts, including monitoring their impact and engagement.
- Assisting in the planning and preparation of video content for the website, social media, and events.
- Helping to keep the company website uptodate, occasionally working with our external web design consultants.
- Assisting in the creation and approval of press releases to be distributed to both UK and international media.
- Assisting at UK events and exhibitions.
- Covering all marketing and communications tasks in the absence of the communications manager.
The Person
We are looking for someone with a passion for writing, who is able to write highly engaging copy for a variety of audiences.
You will need to be able to work independently to hunt out good news stories from around the business and work quickly to create suitable copy for both print and digital mediums often to a tight deadline.
The role will require you to work with all Inzpires different business areas, often working on multiple projects at once so we are looking for a strong team-player who has the ability to multi-task and has great attention to detail.
- Proven experience in marketing, communications, or public relations (PR), either inhouse or agency side.
- Experience of writing copy for a wide variety of marketing materials for both internal and external use.
- The ability to break down often complex technical copy into text which is easily understood by a variety of audiences.
- Experience dealing with the media (writing and distributing press releases, organising interviews, pitching editorial content ideas).
- The ability to manage multiple social media accounts, including monitoring and evaluating the success of content.
- The confidence to build and maintain successful working relationships with external stakeholders including PR agencies.
- A knowledge of Google Analytics.
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Strong proofreading skills.
- The ability to manage a varied workload and multiple projects at once.
- A high level of computer literacy.
- A knowledge of the defence sector is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working on CMS such as Expression Engine and WordPress would be an advantage but is not essential.
