RSR Justice are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, based in Liverpool, for an Accommodation Support Officer to work with a caseload of adult males within a custodial or community environment.


In partnership with probation practitioners, you'll complete initial assessments to understand their specific needs, and then create tailored accommodation plans to meet this through an agreed number of interventions.

This will include ensuring that the participants are aware of any decisions that affect them, plus informing them of their rights within the process.

This is a full-time, permanent role, and offers a salary of £23,088 - £24,801 per annum.


Main Duties:


  • Manage a caseload of participants, producing personalised accommodation plans.
  • Carry out initial assessments, considering risk, situation and need.
  • Record progress and outcomes timely and accurately using case management system.
  • Maintain contact with participants, identifying any emerging risks and concerns.
  • Work in close partnership with probation practitioners in order to understand and respond to the specific and diverse housing needs of the participants.
  • Construct an effective accommodation plan based on an initial assessment of the participants needs and abilities delivered through an agreed number of interventions based on participant need.
  • To adhere at all times to probation and prison information security requirements and rules and to adhere to GDPR and information security requirements.
  • To attend any meetings (internal and external) as required and directed by either the Senior Accommodation Support Officer or Accommodation Support Team Manager.
  • Respond to internal or external complaints promptly, challenging any antisocial behaviour and reporting any risks.
  • To identify and take the necessary actions to protect children and vulnerable adults and promote their welfare in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements:


  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Experience or knowledge of the work of the Criminal Justice System.
  • Good organisation skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Homelessness Legislation.
  • Experience of delivering support services to complex and vulnerable groups.
