Our Client are a well-established and leading global company that has been providing institutional, semi-professional, and private investors with possibilities to invest in infrastructure and real estate.
Our Client employs hundreds of specialists aroundthe world and manages more than £40billion AUM. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to play a key role within the corporate finance team.The Role:
you will have one direct report, a part-qualified Associate, and your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising the Accountant on the entities that are allocated to the Accountant. Reviewing, guiding and mentoring the Accountant.
- Preparing the monthly management accounts, ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled.
- Supporting the budgeting process and entry into the forecasting model.
- Liaising with the tax team in Europe and the outsourced service provider in relation of tax returns (corporation tax, VAT or CIS).
- Being responsible for the yearend audit process by preparing an audit file and preparing the financial statements.
- Responsible for postings and reconciliations including:
- Liaising with the business in terms of raising of sales invoices and collecting debtors
- Liaising with the central payment team with regards to purchase invoices
- Preparing bank reconciliations
- Preparing monthly prepayments and accruals
- Accounting for fixed assets
- Accounting for share based payments
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns
- Accounting and reconciling intercompany loans.
- Responsible for own ongoing professional development and learning.
- Attending meetings, seminars, training workshops and other workrelated issues as required.
The Person:
The role requires a fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with relevant experience to take leadership in managing the financial affairs of the UK and Europe based entities, comprising all aspects of accounting, audits, financial reporting,all aspects tax and budgeting support.
This role is therefore an ideal role for a hands-on accountant who would like to take ownership of a portfolio of group entities.
This role also extends to working extensively with the group accounting function in byliaising on accounting matters, issues arising, group reporting and ad hoc queries.
The Client also offers hybrid working options and in return is looking for someone to take control of the day to day company accounts.
