  • We're recruiting a Hospital Services Administrator to join our team at our animal hospital in Victoria a team that recently won our Blue Cross team of the year award Our Blue Cross hospitals provide veterinary treatment for animals belonging to those people whose financial circumstances do not allow them to afford private veterinary fees.
More about the role

  • As a Hospital Services Administrator you can expect a varied and rewarding role supporting our senior management team by providing an efficient administration support service throughout the hospital and firstclass customer service to our internal and external clients.
  • If you like variety then this is the role for you; each day will see you carrying out duties such as raising purchase orders, cashing up, supporting the management of client accounts including debt management, maintaining dispensary and consumable stock levels, diary room management, welcoming visitors, conducting tours and more.
  • This is a fulltime role of 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the work of Blue Cross, and this post, it may be necessary to exceed these hours when the workload demands.
    About you
  • You will be passionate about customer service and a stickler for detail Looking for a role where you can join a wonderful, high performing team, you will naturally be organised with the initiative to respond to, and proactively resolve, a variety of assignments and issues as they arise.
    Knowledge, skills, and experience
  • Extensive administration experience
  • Experience of financial management (cashing up/reconciliation)
  • Experience of providing a high level of customer service
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience of communication with people at all levels and dealing with challenging situations
  • Ability to take and record accurate notes and minutes

Desirable knowledge, skills, and experience

  • Knowledge of medical/veterinary administration
  • Knowledge of the charity and voluntary sector
  • Experience of stock control and ordering
