Cloud Transformation Consultant - Manchester, United Kingdom - Datasource
Description
Introduction:
Our client works hand-in-hand with clients in the Defence and National Security sector, to guide them through technology enabled transformation.
They focus on the modernisation of businesses and departments using technology, and are instrumental in helping their clients digitise and move over to the cloud They create technical solutions for business problems.
Working Patterns - Min 1-2 days per week on site, but consultants must be happy traveling up to 4 days per week so customer sites if required.
Key responsibilities:
- Gather client requirements to understand the business benefits that they client wants to gain from going over to the cloud
- Work closely with the client to understand what they need the cloud platforms for
- Provide new thinking on technology capabilities and adoption processes and how they can be applied to legacy environments
- Guide clients through their cloud journey from strategy through to delivery
- Build robust and scalable cloud platforms that enable teams to deliver digital solutions
- Vendor selection, ensuring the solution is fit for purpose
- Continuously improve environments through automation and infrastructureascode
- Some Technical and Solution architecture and design
- Build long lasting relationships with customers and develop growth areas
Skills & experience:
- Strong experience within Defence and/or National Security
- Ability to provide technical solutions based on the requirements for the customer
- Ability to work from strategy through to delivery
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate technical solutions to nontechnical audiences
- Infrastructure as code development is desirable
