Based in Redhill, Surrey
My client needs a versatile individual who has worked in a factory/manufacturing environment with experience of operating machinery. The company design and manufacture signs and furniture made from various materials from recycled plastic to steel. The job involvesengraving, sign writing and making modifications to products.

You will need to be organised, have an excellent eye for detail and be technically minded with the ability to use a variety of hand tools.

Good computer skills is a must. The role involves dealing with customers to produce draft layouts using an illustrationpackage for sign writing and inscriptions. This is then programmed into machinery to create the product.
Roles & Responsibilities
Operating the CNC Gantry Mill & Vinyl cutter
Making draft layouts using illustrator for customers
Simple design work in 2D (Solidworks)
Assisting production to make assembly jigs, tools and storage items
Sending price enquires to suppliers
Assisting in the workshop at peak times and to aid with production methods
They will provide training on all machinery.
Hours: 40 hour week 8:30am to 5.00pm with 30 minute lunch break.
