Description

Due to expansion of the current service, we have an exciting role for a clinical assistant to support the Echocardiography service at the Leicester General Hospital.


The main role with be patient centred and involve welcoming the patient into the echo examination rooms and performing simple observations such as height, weight and blood pressure.

The clinical assistant will prepare the patient for the echo, with some assistance if reasonably required.


The role will also include liaising with patients and other healthcare professionals and helping transport in-patients to and from their echo.


Cleaning down of equipment and rooms and the management of stock to ensure the smooth day to day running of the service.

About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust: )


Duties:
Patient preparation, basic observations of height, weight and blood pressure. Assisting physiologist with further highly specialized diagnostic tests.

Cleaning down of equipment and rooms as per policy.

Appropriate stock management to ensure smooth day-to-day operation

Understand and adhere to department policies.


Working relationships:

All technical staff, Section manager, Site managers, Administrative and clerical staff, Nursing staff, Doctors, GP's and Consultants, Porters, Ambulance staff.
