Reports to Cherwell Collective Programme Manager

Part time:
£12 per hour, up to 10 hours per week


Application:


OVERVIEW
includes recruiting, scheduling, managing volunteers, coordinating/advertising events

and tasks for each garden, liaising with the public and reporting back following any work

days on site.


Responsibilities and duties

  • Facilitate community garden work days and workshops in Banbury (at least one per
month per site) by recruiting volunteers, gathering or requesting equipment, and speaking

with site owners for access as needed.


  • Support a large and varied volunteer staff, taking personal preferences/abilities into
account in assigning regular duties and providing essential information to volunteers.

  • Seeking donations of materials for garden plans

Essential Skills
Willingness to further train as needed (skills, software, and regulations)

Ability to work independently as well as with others.

Organised, good problem solving and time management skills

Confidence in facing public and dealing professionally with complaints/needs

Experience in one of the following: gardening at home or as a volunteer, repurposing waste,

home composting, or working with vulnerable population


Desired Qualities
Previous team management experience

Understanding of confidentiality laws and GDPR guidelines.

Experience with Canva
