The Integrated
Passenger Transport Operations Team is responsible for the safe and efficient
use of seventy-five minibuses used to transport people in North Yorkshire. The
team comprises approximately 230 drivers and passenger assistants that operate
at locations throughout North Yorkshire.

The team delivers approximately 250,000 passenger journeys per year
including 20,000 wheelchair user journeys. The transport provided enables
people to access schools, day centres, learning opportunities, supported employment
and other meaningful activities in our community.

We are looking for caring, flexible and
committed people to help us provide this transport.
You
will be responsible for the safety of passengers during these journeys and will
ensure that the passengers board and alight safely as well as ensuring that any
safety equipment is used correctly.

Full
training in the use of all safety equipment will be provided. You will need
good communication skills as you will liaise daily with the passengers, carers
and establishment staff. Experience is

not essential:
however, some experience of driving minibus type vehicles or
working in a similar role would be an advantage for this post.
We have a
vacancy for a driver at 30 Hours per week on an established permanent Contract This
Driver Vacancy is in the Scarborough area.

This is to
cover a mixture of School runs, Local bus runs and Adult Social care runs. We
are looking for a caring and Flexible person to meet the needs of our passengers.
This is much more than just a driving job
These hours
may vary to fit the needs of our customers.

The Hours will be worked from Monday-Friday. Saturdays is on a rota, and
it is approximately 1 in 7. The role May involve split shifts. All drivers require a D1 driving licence entitlement.
The annual salary
for the 30-hour post is approximately £16,573
We offer a
comprehensive training package including Minibus Driver Awareness Training
(MIDAS), Basic First Aid and Managing Challenging Behaviour.

This
post involves access to vulnerable service users and if you were offered the
position, you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS background check.
