Our specialist team of 60+ process safety consultants and engineers provide support in the following areas:


  • Process Hazard analysis and risk assessment
  • Pressure relief design (through our dedicated PRD Bureau)
  • Hazardous are classification
  • COMAH/Seveso sites
  • Compliance projects in older facilities.


We are hiring a Group Head of Process Safety to provide oversight, direction, and governance of our international Process Safety services.

The purpose of this role is also to ensure continued business development of our Process Safety Services.

This position reports to our Director of Delivery Services and has arisen due to the internal promotion of the current incumbent.

The role can be based in Ireland, UK or Europe._**:
In this role you will

  • Promote Health and Safety Leadership & Culture across PM Group projects.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of programmes and initiatives to continually improve Process Safety performance across all Business Units and projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a full endtoend project life cycle approach to Process Safety.
  • Communicate and coordinate the adoption of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in Process Safety and also clientspecific Process Safety requirements.
  • Develop and maintain plans to grow the Process Safety service across the Group for multiple sectors and clients, incorporating growth through multioffice execution (MOE).
  • Manage and develop Process safety personnel to meet the needs of the Process Safety Service.
  • Foster and develop relationships with Process Safety specialists within client teams.
  • Have the background to Review, Check or Deliver Process Safety

This role will suit an individual who has an extensive career in Design / Process Safety Management (atleast 15 years)
This individual will also:


  • Have completed Design and chaired PHA's (in particular HAZOP's) or can show ability to do same.
  • Be familiar with PM Group design and project execution systems
  • Hold a Degree (Level 8) in Engineering (Background in Process / Process Safety an advantage)
  • Chartered status preferred but not essential
  • Familiarity with PM Group design and project execution systems
  • Good communication, management & people skills
  • Selfstarter, strong work ethic and decision maker
  • Good time management — ability to balance dual role
  • Commercial focus
  • Proficiency in engineering software as well as MS Word and Excel.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work in a vibrant multi discipline environment
