Come and join our dynamic team supporting deaf children and young people across Norfolk.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Virtual School Sensory Support working to promote the educational outcomes of Deaf Children and Young People.

In this role, you will work under the guidance of Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People to support individuals or small groups of learners and help to ensure they have the maximum possible access to appropriate educational opportunities.

The job is varied and no two days are the same.

While experience and knowledge of working with deaf children is desirable, a willingness to learn specialist skills and to be flexible are essential qualities.

The children and young people have a range of needs and communication approaches.

It is expected that the post will be based in the Norwich area initially, possibly in more than one setting.

However, we support children and young people across the county and the ability to travel independently is essential.

We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people.

Flexibility is built into the way we work, with hybrid working a key feature for many roles.
