Activities Coordinator - required for our brand-new luxury care home 'Selwood House' in Charlton Down, Dorchester, Dorset, Part of the Country Court Family.**
Hours: 15 hours each weekend (Working each Saturday & Sunday)

Would you like to be part of our new Team at Selwood House Care Home?


Selwood House Care Home is due to open at the beginning of September 2023 & will accommodate up to 84 residents, and will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater for various care needs.

Specialising in residential care, dementia care, and short-term respite care.


We are now looking for a Weekend Activities Coordinator, to join us mid-August 2023, just before we open our doors to our 1st residents in September 2023.

We like to ensure everyone receives exceptional training, so your first 2 weeks induction will ensure you know all about your role, the team around you and the home.

We'll provide you with the right tools, information, and thorough training ready to deliver the very best care to our residents, this initial training will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Activities are a huge part of our residents' lives at our care homes and our activities coordinators make sure that events they plan are person-centred, aspirational & most of all fun From arranging a variety of activities, to trips & experiences within the local area, to arranging seasonal events for our residents, this is a truly rewarding and varied role.


About You:

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative and will help with activities and ultimately make our home a great place to live:

  • Have a friendly & caring attitude
  • Good planning & development skills
  • Able to engage well with the residents and their families
  • Be proactive, passionate, and supportive team player, with experience of maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
  • You will be going out and about, networking, planning activities and with residents therefore having access to your own vehicle with business Insurance is essential

Covid Safety

We operate COVID secure homes and have strict procedures in place to ensure the safety of all residents and staff.

This includes regular COVID & temperature testing and wearing appropriate PPE, and if requested by management a face mask whilst on shift, unless medically exempt.
