General Catering Steward

Balliol College's Front of House Department seek to recruit a dynamic individual to help look after the catering needs of our Fellows, Students and Staff, as well as a large number of external functions such as banquets, weddings and conferences.

Principal responsibilities/duties:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Banquet service and other waiting duties
Looking after the catering needs of College Fellows and Students
General cleaning of function rooms and dining rooms
Cash handling and till work
Preparation of dining and function rooms
Maintaining an excellent standard of service
Supervision of casual staff during small events

erson specification/skills and experience required:

Experience in a busy catering/front of house environment
Ability to work to deadlines
Wellpresented and polite
Team player
Calm under pressure

Responsible to:
Front of House Manager

Terms and conditions

Salary:
Grade 3.1 (£22,197)

Benefits:
Uniform provided, Enrolment to University Pension Scheme & Meals on duty

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location:
Balliol College Broad Street

Holiday: 30 Days per annum plus bank holidays
