**As a Nursery Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising and monitoring the children under your care. More than just health and safety, you'll have safeguarding obligations to help ensure children are safe both at your workplace and in their home life.


You will be reading stories to the children you work with to help develop their language skills, as well as helping them learn number skills through games and other activities.

You will be preparing various activities throughout the day to keep children engaged.

You will observe children's progress and development, looking out for any issues that might arise.

It will be part of your job to ensure children are progressing in the best ways they can, and you'll be working with parents to help achieve this.


Responsibilities also include caring for children by preparing their food, ensuring a clean environment, and assisting babies and younger children when they need changing.

  • Supervising and monitoring children

  • Preparing meals and maintaining a clean environment

Required Qualifications:

Level 2 childcare qualification


Experience:

Experience in childcare settings preferred


Knowledge and Skills:


  • Nurturing and caring attitude
  • Understanding of child development
  • Ability to engage children in educational activities
  • Good communication skills

Working Conditions:

Work in a nursery setting with children aged 0-5 years

Full-time hand part time hours available

Fast-paced and dynamic environment

Regular interaction with children and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
