JOB DETAILS

A Structural Warranty Provider seeks a Building Inspector to oversee construction of traditional housing and low-rise flats from foundation through to completion.

Starting salary from £42,000 to £50,000. Benefits include company car/ allowance, bonus, 37 days' leave, chartership funding if required, with the opportunity for career progression.

Responsibilities:

Inspect construction or conversion of properties to ensure compliance with latent defect insurance standards
Provide quality assessments, report on defects, structural faults and recommendations to clients
Schedule own workload and ensure efficiency during site visits
Record inspections and relay findings to customers as required
Advise the underwriting team on technical queries
Balance insurer and client expectations

Requirements:

Relationship management
Problem solving capability
Foundation to completion site experience
Awareness of structural warranty risk management and associated construction standards
Degree/ NVQ Level 6 qualified
RICS/CABE/CIOB/ICWCI membership preferred
