What does the role look like?
At Collins Actuation Systems we place a real focus on developing each of our 4000 employees across the group.

We are on a real learning journey with a commitment that each employee will receive a minimum of 80 hours of learning by 2027.

To achieve this, we are looking to expand our dedicated team with the newly create role of an In-house Trainer.

Based at our Actuation Headquarters in Wolverhampton with occasional travel to our other UK site in Banbury.

You will join an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team who are responsible for the personal development of employees based in the UK.


Reporting to the Learning and Development Business Partner, you will drive the holistic lifecycle of training from consultations with managers and employees to design, delivery and analysis of learning interventions.


What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

  • Deliver and coordinate the delivery of professional development courses.
  • Deliver the induction package to new starters.
  • Support the design of course content of various training programmes both facetoface and elearning modules.
  • Support training consultations with managers and formulate subsequent course outlines.
  • Support the ROI assessment of each training intervention.
  • Engage with individuals on learning needs analysis to determine the appropriate training implementation.
  • Support and deliver leadership development training across the Actuation business.
  • Provide reporting to various business areas and input into training management systems.
  • Research training industry standards and best practices embracing new technologies.
  • Support the development and delivery of training packages for our Early Career employees.

  • Natural ability to coach & engage across all levels
  • Previous experience supporting a business from a learning/training perspective
  • Excellent training toolkit

Desirable skills:


  • Previous experience in an Industrial environment but we would be open to other backgrounds
  • Can bring fresh & innovative ideas to learning
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Excellent power point/presentation skills
  • Previous experience in designing & developing training material
  • Keen to make a difference
