The Role
The Facilities Maintenance Technician role will be to primarily carry out M&E maintenance and inspection throughout the MTC campus.

Further deliverables and responsibilities of the role include:
To carry out minor projects/install works as scoped by the Team management and through the helpdesk.
To ensure records are kept of all equipment inspected and tested.
To ensure PAT testing equipment is calibrated in due time.
To ensure tools and equipment used are maintained, charged and labels etc. are replenished.
Escort contractors when required.
Assist other team members with maintenance PPM's and installation work.
To work as a team to ensure all jobs are completed in given timescales.
Flexible to work overtime as an when required and with short notice.
Provide standby cover out of hours on a rota basis in case of emergency.

The Person
Be a self-motivated professional.
Demonstrate expert knowledge to explain faults/impact and job updates to internal clients, supervisor and helpdesk.
Excellent IT skills to track and manage jobs and costs etc.
Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
The ability to manage a varied workload.
Good awareness and understanding of health and safety.
