About you
Ideally, you'll have or be working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.

You will have 2 years experience in the care sector and understand person centred care planning and have a strong knowledge of care industry.

What's essential, though, is your brilliant positive energy and natural ability to get along with people and manage a team and have experience with rota management.

You'll know what good record keeping looks like and be able to manage your time effectively. And, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you'll be truly considerate and kind. Well, after all, it's just in your nature.


Job Overview


As a Senior Carer you will be planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.

You will get to know our residents and their families - helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care.

As the Senior Health Care Assistant, you will be leading a team of Health Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest of standards and you'll be a positive influence on the rest of the team, and lead by example.

As well as administering medication One of your key responsibilities as a Senior Health Care Assistant is to maintain accurate records of the job you do and build strong relationships with the rest of your team.


Responsibilities and Duties of the Job

  • To be in charge of all care staff on each shift
  • To administer all Residents medication when required
  • To assist in the general daytoday activities within the Home.
  • To maintain a safe and secure environment for Residents, staff Members and visitors.
  • Ensure residents are assisted with their day to day personal care
  • Assisting with meals/drinks to support our residents overall nutrition
  • Engaging with residents who wish to take part in social and recreational activities
  • Supporting the Home Manager with jobs as necessary
  • Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns
  • Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments.
  • Observe and record clients' physical and emotional wellbeing, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.

Personal Responsibilities
Attend training and staff meetings as directed by the management
