Salary G6 £25,878 - £30,151 (pro-rata for hours worked) plus 5% enhancement for unsociable hours and additional payments for sleeping in duties.
Part-time working 23, 22 or 21 hours per week
Qualified starting salary - £27,852 (pro-rata for hours worked)

We are looking for people to join our residential team within Walsall where we currently operate two Children's Homes and are in the process of opening 2 additional homes in the near future.
- Helping cook the dinner
- Helping with homework
- Playing games in the garden
- Supporting complex health needs
- Attending a professionals meeting
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Planning an outing or a holiday
The Role
You will be responsible for the direct care of children, provide high levels of engagement and be highly ambitious in helping them to achieve positive outcomes.
We provide residential care for looked after children and overnight short breaks for children who have disabilities and complex needs.

Important Information
Our homes can accommodate children up to 18 years of age.
Due to the nature of this post, the DFE minimum standard states that an employee must be four years older than the oldest resident therefore applicants must be 22 years of age or older.
These posts are mainly evenings, weekends and includes sleep in shifts where you will be paid a 5% enhancement for unsocial hours and a sleep in payments.

Applicants appointed to posts that require an enhanced DBS clearance must declare any periods of time that they have lived, studied or worked abroad and be prepared to provide an Overseas Criminal Records Certificate (OCRC) or a Statement of Good Conduct (SOGC) relating to anytime they were overseas.
The Government's Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty covers this post for public sector workers.The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
