Kitchen Assistant
Newly opened and fully refurbished, we offer 95 stylish bedrooms, a new destination Restaurant and Bar and Wellness facilities.

This is a great opportunity to join our fun and enthusiastic Hotel team

Reporting to the Head Chef you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen and will also assist with simple food preparation.

This is a great opportunity if you are keen to progress towards a Chef position.

Key Duties of this role:

Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks

Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day

Maintaining the food storage areas including freezers and refrigerators

Receiving deliveries and ensuring items are stored correctly

Washing dirty dishes including cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher

Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them correctly

Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment such as cookers, pots and food mixers

Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation such as cutting ingredients, peeling and washing food items

Following daily and weekly cleaning schedules

Providing assistance to Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff, as required

At least one year's working in a professional kitchen

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Must have a high level of personal cleanliness and hygiene and be smartly presented

Good communication skills

A team player with the ability to work unsupervised.
