We are looking for a talented Tax Advisor to join our Tax, Trusts and Compliance team based in Sheffield on a Fixed Term Contract basis for 12 months.


Our Team


We're looking for an enthusiastic and client focused individual to join our friendly boutique accountancy and tax team based in Sheffield on a Fixed Term Contract basis.

The team deals with a wide range of work for its UK individual and trust clients.

As part of a dynamic law firm, we work closely with our lawyer colleagues, helping the firm's clients with their UK tax compliance.

In particular we have a large portfolio of vulnerable clients via our national Court of Protection team.


Your Role and What You'll Be Doing
***You'll be able to demonstrate an awareness of profitability and you'll be expected to provide efficient, cost-effective work using commercial software. Using your experience, you'll prepare and review annual self-assessment tax returns and capital gains tax returns for a portfolio of clients, both UK and non-UK resident, and assist with general tax compliance matters.


About You

  • ATT or CTA qualified or experience in a relevant role
  • An ability to handle your own caseload
  • Experience of preparing personal selfassessment tax returns
  • Experience of preparing online capital gains tax returns
  • Experience of preparing trust and estate selfassessment tax returns and annual declarations would be useful but not essential
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
