An exciting opportunity has arisen for a MDT Co-Ordinator who either has experience of, or is willing to learn, minute taking.

Good typing skills, attention to detail and sound grammatical knowledge are also required. The ability to time manage and prioritise tasks is essential. GCSE English and Mathematics grade C or above (new grade 4) is a requirement of this position. NVQ3 or above in administration, plus knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage but not a necessity.

This role is interesting and can provide a high degree of job satisfaction due to the crucial administrative support it provides to the clinicians and nursing teams.

Self-sufficient, motivated individuals who work well as a team and who want to make a difference are encouraged to apply.

Main duties of the job

Principal Role Responsibilities:
Facilitate the weekly Neuro-oncology (Friday), Skull Base (Tuesday), Neuro Trauma (Wednesday) and Neuro Spinal MDT (Friday).

Methodically input data from referrals to create and circulate the agenda and additions list prior to each MDT.

Take accurate minutes and type directly onto a spreadsheet during the meetings.

Distribute an action plan to ensure all MDT members are aware of the outcomes, actions and timeframe for completion.

Ensure all MDT decisions are communicated to referring clinicians, tertiary centres and other stakeholders.

Answer MDT queries as appropriate, using problem solving skills, together with initiative to ask for specialist clinical advice when necessary.

Accurately enter data using Excel and Infoflex and assist with data analysis on activity and outcomes when required.

Liaise with the Nottingham Cancer Centre (NCC) regarding peer review or any other service audit.
