Multitask Recruitment Solutions has an exciting new opportunity for a Production Operative to work on the finishing department for our client based in Calder Vale.

Own transport would be advantageous due to location.


Shifts:


  • While on training (24 weeks): Monday to Thursday 7:30 am4:30 pm, Friday 7:30 am12:30 pm.
  • After training: 6 am 6 pm and 6 pm 6 am ( 3 on 3 off ).

Role:


  • Repair and sewing by hand of têxtile product.
  • Operators of semiautomatic machinery and transportation of products.
  • Quality control and inspection of the product, logging key information into computerised (touch screen) system.
  • Due to the nature of the work, a level of manual dexterity is required. Once trained, most work days are split between sitting and repairing têxtile products and standing operating machinery. Some lifting is required.

Requirements:


  • Ability to work well in a small team.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic in a fastpaced and varied role with some heavy lifting.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Have attention to detail for QC checks and repairs.
  • Ability to work to quality and performance targets. Must be able to read and write in English.
