The Company

Able Bridge Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of our key clients in the recruitment of an accounts payable professional for an interim/temporary contract.

The role is due to a seasonal peak in demand within the team and an unexpected short term absenteeism.


The role will working within a close knit team of 3 accounting professionals and will be reporting into the head of finance.

The people that you will be working with have all been placed by Able Bridge and we know how supportive they truly are.


The role holder will be based on the outskirts of Edinburgh (free parking as well as excellent rail/bus/tram links), for at least 3 days per week, and our client has indicated that they will consider a hybrid working model.


The Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to provide efficient and effective support within the accounts payable section of the accounts function.

You will be accountable for the preparation of invoices and expenses to be paid within agreed timeframes.


On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Be the point of contact for the receipt of invoices from suppliers.

For suppliers who provide multiple invoices for services/goods, you will be accountable for the batching of these invoices for 1 payment rather than several.

Review employee expenses ensuring that they are in line with corporate guidelines and process accordingly.
Reconcile supplier accounts/statements to ensure over and under payments are prevented.
Work closely with the accounts team to ensure a smooth running finance operation is maintained.
